FILM TALKS #12: Lauren Semivan | Photographer (Detroit MI, USA)

This blog was founded by VNB in 2012. The site is very organized and easy to read and is not as boring as most of the other blogs and it is the best looking one so far. The blog tends to focus on just photogaphy so i kind of have some bias twards it because i like to see a little fine art mixed in. Even if it is the best looking one we have looked at i still hate it (it puts off a arrogant kind of vibe)
This group of photographs wa screated by Lauren Semivan
.These works are in black and white and are cluttered and strange and i dislike them a lot. they seem kind of interesting but i can not figure them out and they have no appeal to my tastes.

The Conjurer: In the Archive with Timothy Prus

This blog was founded by
a group of photographers. The site is very organized and easy to read but somewhat plain but not as boring as most of the other blogs so i guess it the best one so far. The blog tends to focus on just photogaphy so i kind of have some bias twards it because i like to see a little fine art mixed in.

This group of photographs was gathered by Brian Dillon from London’s Archive of Modern Conflict. He thought, as most people do, the name was strange and it paid off. These photos can be verry odd and i am glad someone took them and let them see the light of day.

Debra Barrera’s Sports Car on Earth, in Space

This blog was founded by
Rainey Knudson. The site is very organized and easy to read but somewhat plain and boring like most of the other blogs so i guess i cant hold it against her. The blog shows both photographs and fine art.
This instillation was one of my favorites so far. The instillation was done by Debra Barrera and is the front and rear bumpers of an older sports car and is displayed in a way that it is the original length of the car. The thing about this instillation is that the lights actually work. This work fell down during the opening and was broken and soon after removed from the gallery and replaced with a memorial in honor of the work of art.

This image was created by Twig Carpa and it really caught my attention due to its creepy nature.

This image was created by Zappa Frank and i was drawn to this image due to the fact that it just looks fun and energetic.
This image was made by Tadao Cern and its just a cool idea because most people have to look perfect in any photo they are in.

Stacey Bode created this photo and it shows a funny side of children's photographs.

This image i found and i could not find the name of the creator but its appeal is apparent.

Artical Review/ light leaked

Light Leaked
Ariya Martin Tuesday, November 5, 2013

Light Leaked is a very interesting blog founded and edited by Ashley Kauschinger.  the blog is very easy to navigate and is visually appealing.
I chose this particular artist, Ariya Martin because i saw these towers and thought to myself, anyone could do that. This work is just crap glued on top of random things and the background is more interesting than what she made. Some things that people call art just make me mad. If i turned this in for any of my art classes i would be told to get lost.

LENSCRATCH
Tami Bone: Of Magic and Myth, september 17, 2013
 Rancho
This blog was created by a photographer by the name of Tami Bone from Texas. The site is very organized and easy to read but somewhat plain and boring. It is mainly about photography arranged in a way to tell some wierd story. The article is posted by a photographer from south texas and contains highly photoshoped pictures. The artist tries to tell a story through these photographes but i really dont see a story i would be very interested in. the photos appear very unrealistic and strange ( and not in a good way ). it looks like the artist tried really hard to just produce anything that would make it into a show. I think Tami did a good job at whatever this is but i personaly think it looks like crap ( above photo not included ) .

I picked this blog because this is how i would like to take photos, just on a family trip or just traveling around the country.
